Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Abu Khalid (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sasa Gusi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gusi has chosen Ekipa- BGD Syndicate as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Abu Khalid!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

11 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sasa Gusi!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Frank Dennis and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gusi shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Khalid is trying to stand.
Gusi winds up and cracks Khalid with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Gusi is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Khalid!
Khalid's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Gusi lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Gusi tries to control but Khalid wriggling away.
Gusi with shots to the head and body - Khalid looks very uncomfortable down there.
You get the feeling that Khalid really doesn't like being in this position too much.

Gusi goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Khalid turns into him and now he's in Gusi's guard.
Khalid has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Gusi is proving hard to escape from.
Khalid decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Gusi, up you get!
Khalid misses the jab.
Gusi throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Khalid was covering up waiting for the punch and Gusi finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Gusi wants to control from the top but Khalid keeps moving.

Gusi is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Khalid wants to stand up but Gusi is controlling him.
Gusi passes into half guard.
Gusi throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Gusi is looking for a kimura but Khalid is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Gusi to get the leverage.
Khalid is trying to stand back up but Gusi is controlling him
Gusi slows the pace down in half guard.
Gusi uses his free foot to push down on Khalid's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Khalid.
Khalid wants to try and get back to his feet.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Gusi moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Khalid has worked his arm free - good work by Khalid!
Gusi works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Khalid managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Gusi.
Khalid is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Gusi has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Gusi wants to control but Khalid is keeping him busy.
Khalid is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Sasa Gusi dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Khalid looks to land a right hand but Gusi moved out of range.

Abu Khalid seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gusi lands with a shot to the body.

Khalid darts in and clinches Gusi up against the cage.
Gusi is pushing Khalid up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Gusi lands a left hand.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Khalid wants to get back to striking at distance but Gusi won't allow it.
Gusi tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Khalid smiles and moves away.

Gusi just misses with a punch to the body.

Khalid throws a right and a left that Gusi avoids nicely.
Khalid throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Gusi.
Abu Khalid is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Gusi shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Gusi lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Gusi connects with a couple of good shots from mount.

Khalid wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.

Khalid is in a horrible position here. Gusi smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Gusi cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Gusi landing strikes from the mount and Khalid is in trouble!

Gusi swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Khalid is now in Gusi's guard. A big mistake from Gusi there, giving up the dominant position!
Gusi is breathing heavily.
Khalid gets to his feet - Gusi follows without any prompting.

Khalid will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Gusi fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Khalid takes one to the side of the head.
Gusi drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Gusi keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Khalid's head.
Gusi stands up over his opponent, looking to dive in with a big punch. Here he comes, superman style! Oh, the punch misses and Khalid has got him in a triangle choke for good measure! Oh no! Gusi manages to get his head free but now Khalid has transitioned to an armbar! Gusi grimaces and is forced to tap! Beautiful Jiu Jitsu from Khalid! I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:46 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Abu Khalid!
