Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Red Rum (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Travis Faure (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Red Rum had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Faure uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Rum.

Faure gets a takedown into half guard.
Rum won't allow Faure to pass to mount.
Faure trying to control the action but Rum is working from the bottom.

Faure is working for a kimura but Rum is defending it quite comfortably.
Rum regains full guard. Nicely done.

Faure drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Rum manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Faure has Rum in his guard.

Faure working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Rum doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Rum manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Faure goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Rum turns into him and now he's in Faure's guard.

Rum throws a low kick but it's checked well by Faure.
Rum throws a lazy right hand but Faure sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Faure wants to pass the guard but Rum is keeping the position.
Rum is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Faure drops back looking for a leg! Rum is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Rum manages to kick Faure off! Faure jumps back into Rum's guard.

Rum gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Faure jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Rum walks away with a smile on his face. Faure gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

and Rum counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

and Rum counters with a big head kick but Faure shrugs it off.

Faure swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Rum is now in Faure's guard. A big mistake from Faure there, giving up the dominant position!
Travis Faure has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Faure throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Rum escapes and throws Faure's legs to the side, diving into side control!

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Red Rum.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Rum, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
