Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between James Lang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rex Mason (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lang's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wYs3wtIMRqY. James Lang has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, James Lang!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Rex Mason!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Stewart Dunkirk and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lang misses the shot to the body.
Mason takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Mason on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.


It looks like Rex Mason has been cut.
James Lang seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lang is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Mason.
A telegraphed right hand from Lang misses the target.
Mason avoids a punch combination nicely.

Mason closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Mason stops Lang from getting back to his feet.

Mason is working for a kimura but Lang is defending it quite comfortably.
Lang tries to roll over but Mason keeps him under control.

Mason is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Lang sees it coming and defends easily.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Lang is trying to stand.

Lang pushes Mason off and gets back to his feet.
Mason avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Lang doesn't manage to clinch there - Mason circles away.
Lang just misses with a punch to the body.
Mason throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Lang throws a right and a left that Mason avoids nicely.
Mason takes a jab right on the kisser.
Mason throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Lang's waist but Lang gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Mason off to one side.
Mason takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Lang looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Lang throws a series of punches but Mason moves out of range.
Lang throws a big shot that misses.
Mason circles away from the clinch attempt.
Lang misses with a double jab.
Lang looks to land a left hand but Mason moved out of range nicely.
Lang tries to clinch there but Mason circles away.
A big right from Lang misses.

Mason looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Lang!
Mason fails to advance to Lang's back.

Mason goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Lang turns into him and now he's in Mason's guard.
Lang preventing the sweep.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Lang wants to stand but Mason is controlling his posture from full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Mason is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Lang defends well.
Mason looks gassed!

That's four minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Mason looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Lang passes into side control.
Mason tries to buck Lang off but Lang is having none of it.
Mason struggling a bit here.
Mason is looking to reverse the position.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Mason is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Lang decides to take the fight back to the feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

James Lang dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Rex Mason's cut.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


Lang lands a really nice looking cross but Mason seems unphased.

Lang lands a big right hand that sends Mason crashing to the mat! Lang stays standing though and waves Mason back to his feet!


Mason is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Lang is throwing a storm of strikes! Right hook, left hook and follows it up with a spinning back fist! Mason hits the canvas like a rag doll! And just like that, this one is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:18 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). James Lang!
