Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Eliza Hachem and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
karl tries for a takedown but Moraes sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Moraes decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Moraes is looking for a kimura here.
karl is not content to let Moraes control the position.
Moraes seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
karl tries to roll over but Moraes keeps him under control.
Moraes seems to be looking for submissions.

karl is trying to control but can't.
Moraes is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for karl!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Moraes wants to take karl's back here but karl is holding on to an arm, himself looking to escape.
Moraes goes for an armbar but he's not got it… karl turns into him and now he's in Moraes's guard.
Moraes is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and karl defends well.
karl wants to control from the top but Moraes keeps moving.
Moraes wants to sweep but no luck.

karl has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
karl connects with a couple of short punches.
Moraes is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and karl defends well.
karl chips away with some ground and pound.

karl avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Moraes looks gassed!
Moraes pushes a forearm under karl's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, karl is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
