The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
andrew lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Kiragosyan has a takedown stuffed.
andrew tests Kiragosyan's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Kiragosyan takes a kick to the side of the head.
andrew fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Kiragosyan on the side of the head.
andrew works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Kiragosyan takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Kiragosyan shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. andrew defends it nicely.
andrew takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

andrew is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
andrew slaps away a takedown attempt from Kiragosyan, before circling back to the center of the mat.
lucas andrew has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Samvel Kiragosyan.
Kiragosyan throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around andrew's waist but andrew gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Kiragosyan off to one side.
andrew comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Kiragosyan takes a head kick and shrugs it off.

Kiragosyan takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

andrew moves into range and clinches up with Kiragosyan.
andrew lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
andrew has a couple of punches blocked by Kiragosyan.
andrew tries to stall but Kiragosyan uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

andrew breaks the clinch.

Kiragosyan dives in and grabs andrew's left leg, looking for a takedown. andrew pushes down on Kiragosyan's head and hops out.
andrew swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Kiragosyan shoots in for a takedown but andrew shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
andrew is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

andrew throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

andrew is looking to control Kiragosyan's arms but Kiragosyan gets an underhook and turns him. Now andrew has his back to the cage.

andrew manages to break the clinch.
Kiragosyan scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Kiragosyan shoots in looking for a takedown. andrew tries to sprawl out of it but Kiragosyan keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. andrew manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
andrew fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Kiragosyan.

andrew swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Kiragosyan.

Kiragosyan has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye.
andrew feints and then cracks Kiragosyan's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Kiragosyan down.
andrew lands a right hook to the body.
andrew lands with a straight right. Kiragosyan didn't see that one coming.
andrew dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Kiragosyan. That did some damage!

BOOM! andrew lands a beautiful left hook that drops Kiragosyan. Kiragosyan tries to recover but andrew is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Kiragosyan lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
