Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

With a record of 8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Blippy Janks!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dish Water!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Radbod Blank and Albert Achterberg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Water fails with a takedown attempt.
Water throws a nice looking combination but Janks bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Blippy Janks has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dish Water.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Janks counters with a nice double leg into side control. Water won't be happy with that.
Janks is looking to take a break and control but Water is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
You can see the frustration on Water's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Janks creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Water sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Janks is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Water is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Janks remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Janks accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Janks stands up over Water, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Water escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Janks gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
