Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Vasco Sousa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Liam Igo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sousa throws a series of punches but Igo moves out of range.
Sousa tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Sousa lands with a nice combination. Igo backs away looking to recover.

It looks like Liam Igo has been cut.
Sousa lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Igo shoots in but no luck this time.
Igo blocks a head kick by Sousa.
A combination from Sousa does no damage.
Sousa lands a head kick. Igo smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

Sousa has closed the distance and engaged Igo in a clinch.
Igo wants a takedown but no success here.

Sousa pulls guard successfully.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Sousa is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Igo is controlling him.

Igo is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Sousa is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Sousa has escaped and now he's on top!
Sousa wanted to stand there but Igo had control of the position.

Igo working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Sousa doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Igo is tightening it up a little... Sousa has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Sousa reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Sousa taps out! nice BJJ there by Igo!
