PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Augustus Machiavelli (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Artsi Lintsi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Machiavelli comes to the cage accompanied by August Burns Red - "11th Hour". Lintsi has chosen The Pentagram Burns as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lintsi shoots in for a takedown but Machiavelli shows good takedown defense.

Machiavelli shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Lintsi's guard.

Lintsi looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Machiavelli won't allow Lintsi to sweep him here.

Machiavelli is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lintsi tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Machiavelli drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Machiavelli jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Lintsi has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Machiavelli can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Machiavelli stands and throws Lintsi's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Machiavelli tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Lintsi tries to buck Machiavelli off but Machiavelli is having none of it.

Machiavelli is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Lintsi has escaped the position, nice work there.

Machiavelli is trying to get an arm triangle but Lintsi is defending well.
Machiavelli is breathing heavily.

Machiavelli has hold of Lintsi's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Lintsi seems comfortable defending it but Machiavelli has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Lintsi is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Lintsi is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Machiavelli couldn't care less - he's delighted!
