Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lay Pray (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ronaldo Couza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pray's entrance music is Don't Fear the Reaper- Blue Oyster Cult. A fine choice. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Lay Pray!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ronaldo Couza!
The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Couza changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Pray looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Pray sneaks out the side door and pushes Couza away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.

Pray shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Couza's guard.
Pray will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Pray trying to control but Couza is working from the bottom.
Pray is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Pray trying to control the position from guard on top but Couza is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Lay Pray just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.

Couza manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Pray manages to get himself to full guard.

Couza is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Pray defends it well.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Couza lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

Couza seems to be looking for submissions.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Couza misses with a jab, cross combination.
Pray tries to score a power double leg takedown but Couza sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Pray somewhat.

Pray closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Pray lands in his opponent's guard.

and Pray counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Pray accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Pray slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Couza can do anything to dispel that myth.

Pray closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Couza is looking for a sweep.

Pray tries to score with some ground and pound. Couza controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

Pray shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Couza pinned against the cage. Couza gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Lay Pray dominated that second round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Couza is staying active underneath Pray, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Lay Pray.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Pray, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
