Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tee Bone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Katsuyari Monoriku (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bone comes into the arena with Somebody's gonna get it blaring out of the sound system. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tee Bone!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Katsuyari Monoriku!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck for Bone with that takedown attempt.
Bone avoids the head kick by Monoriku.
Monoriku tries to close the distance and clinch up but Bone swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Nice takedown defense from Monoriku. No joy for Bone on that attempt.
Bone shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Monoriku but Monoriku pushes him off and we're back to square one.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tee Bone. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Monoriku is trying to buck Bone off.

Bone swings around for an armbar but Monoriku sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Bone's guard.

Bone closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Monoriku did well to prevent Bone getting side control.

Bone is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Monoriku is trying to maintain the position but Bone is very close to passing his half guard.

Bone is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Monoriku defends it well.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Monoriku tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Bone shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Monoriku but Monoriku pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Monoriku breaks from the clinch.
Monoriku is looking to clinch but Bone is avoiding it.
Monoriku throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Monoriku buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Monoriku throws a head kick but Bone moves out of range.
Monoriku throws a combination. Bone tries to block but a couple of punches get through.

Bone tries to keep at a distance but Monoriku has taken the fight into the clinch.
Monoriku wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Bone has him pressed against the cage.
Monoriku creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Bone's defenses.
Monoriku connects with a nasty looking knee right to Bone's face.
Bone tries to land a knee to the head but Monoriku blocks with his arms.
Monoriku lands a damaging elbow.
Monoriku landing knees to the head.
Monoriku looking to throw knees to the head but Bone is blocking nicely.
Monoriku throws a knee to the head but misses.
Monoriku misses with a knee strike.

Monoriku trying to stall but Bone improves his position.
Monoriku with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Bone has Monoriku pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Monoriku manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Monoriku lands a body punch in the clinch.

Monoriku breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Monoriku scores with a spinning back kick!

Monoriku darts in and clinches Bone up against the cage.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Monoriku tries to break free but Bone pushes him back against the cage.

A nice leg kick lands there from Monoriku.
Monoriku stuffs the takedown attempt from Bone. Bone gets slowly back to his feet.
Katsuyari Monoriku is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Bone takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Monoriku throws a head kick that half lands.
Monoriku throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Monoriku has taken the fight to the clinch.
Monoriku gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Monoriku tries to break free but Bone pushes him back against the cage.
Monoriku drops down looking for an ankle pick but Bone pulls his leg out and moves away.
Bone tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Monoriku swivels and escapes.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Katsuyari Monoriku dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Monoriku misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Monoriku swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Tee Bone is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Monoriku scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Monoriku wants to clinch.
Bone takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Monoriku throws a head kick that misses.

Bone fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Monoriku sprawls well initially but Bone persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Monoriku is trying to stand up here but Bone is controlling him well.

Monoriku pushes Bone off and gets back to his feet.
Bone shoots in and drives through. Monoriku sprawls well.

Monoriku has taken the fight to the clinch.
Monoriku drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Bone gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Bone is working for takedown but Monoriku is calmly controlling the position for now.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Monoriku looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Bone has picked Monoriku up - he's going for a ride! Bone dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Bone is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Monoriku defends it well.
Bone wants to stand up but Monoriku is controlling the position.

Monoriku throws his legs up looking for a submission but Bone uses it to pass to side control.
Bone is putting a hurting on Monoriku here, landing some big shots from side control.
Monoriku can't do much from the bottom here.
Bone lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Monoriku down.

Bone tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Bone has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Monoriku manages to get back to half guard.
Monoriku is trying to stand.
Bone is trying to control. Monoriku wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Bone wants to work for an arm triangle but Monoriku is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Bone tries for a takedown but Monoriku manages to get underhooks.

Katsuyari Monoriku showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Monoriku throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Monoriku stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Monoriku wants it to stay on the feet.
Monoriku dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Bone. That did some damage!

Monoriku moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Monoriku preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

Bone postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Monoriku is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Bone, into his guard.
Monoriku has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Bone is proving hard to escape from.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Monoriku wants to pass the guard but Bone is keeping the position.

Bone is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Tee Bone has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Monoriku wants to control from the top but Bone keeps moving.

Bone escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Monoriku gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Monoriku must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Bone is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Monoriku is aware though and is defending well.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Monoriku stands up and beckons Bone to his feet.
Monoriku throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Bone's head.

Monoriku is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Monoriku looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Bone drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Bone jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Katsuyari Monoriku is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Bone pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Monoriku is keeping the position for now.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Tee Bone.
I think Monoriku has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
