PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kim Ma Cho (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carlos Dimasuay (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dimasuay has chosen Shoot to kill as his entrance music. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kim Ma Cho!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Carlos Dimasuay!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Shigeki Sano and Tatsuya Matsuyama.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dimasuay clobbers Ma Cho with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.


It looks like Kim Ma Cho has been cut.
Dimasuay defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Ma Cho.

Ma Cho drives through and clinches with Dimasuay against the cage.

Dimasuay is fighting off a takedown attempt but Ma Cho is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Dimasuay to the mat. Dimasuay regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Dimasuay escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Ma Cho gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Dimasuay really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ma Cho. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Ma Cho tries to free his leg and advance position but Dimasuay is retaining full guard.
Ma Cho wants to control from the top but Dimasuay keeps moving.

Ma Cho drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Dimasuay manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Ma Cho has Dimasuay in his guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Ma Cho accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Ma Cho closes the distance and clinches up with Dimasuay, looking for a takedown. Ma Cho pushes Dimasuay against the cage but Dimasuay circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Dimasuay throws a right and a left that Ma Cho avoids nicely.

Dimasuay scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
No joy there for Dimasuay, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Dimasuay tries to bum rush Ma Cho with a series of wild strikes but Ma Cho uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Ma Cho drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Dimasuay has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Ma Cho can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
