Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Al Bundy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Connely (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Al Bundy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chris Connely!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Daniel Franklin and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bundy shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Connely is trying to defend but Bundy finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Connely desperately trying to maintain half guard.
Bundy throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Connely gets back to full guard.
Bundy looking to sit in guard and control but Connely gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Connely accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Connely trying to control the position from guard on top but Bundy is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Bundy is looking to stand up but Connely isn't so interested in that idea.
Connely pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Bundy is keeping the position for now.
Bundy is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Connely is controlling him.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Connely trying to control but Bundy is working from the bottom.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Connely buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Connely works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Bundy closes this distance looking for a takedown but Connely circles away.
Connely connects with a solid leg kick.
Bundy fails with an attempt to clinch.
Connely throws an overhand right that lands on Bundy's shoulder, as Bundy tries to avoid the shot.
Bundy lands with a thumping leg kick.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Bundy avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Connely dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Bundy. That did some damage!
Connely throws a big shot that misses.
Bundy uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Connely.
Al Bundy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bundy wants to clinch.
Bundy tries to clinch but Connely moves out of range.
Connely throws a series of punches but Bundy avoids them all with ease.
Connely misses with a wild body shot.
Bundy tries to clinch there but Connely circles away.
Connely scores with a body shot.
Connely connects with a solid leg kick.
Bundy is breathing heavily.
A nice combination there by Connely.


It looks like Al Bundy has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Bundy doesn't manage to clinch there - Connely circles away.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Connely knocks Bundy to the floor with a head kick! Can he finish him!?


Bundy is rocked!
A lull in the action here.
Oh Bundy is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Connely goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Bundy has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Connely but great work by Bundy.
Bundy seems to have got his legs back now.
Bundy taking a break here but Connely is having none of it and regains half guard.
Bundy is keen to just control but Connely is a slippery customer.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Chris Connely dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Al Bundy's cut.
That's time! Back to the action!


Nice jab there from Connely.
Connely lands with a thumping leg kick.
Connely throws a hook but Bundy blocks it.
A low kick from Bundy is predictable there
and Connely counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Bundy tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Connely counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Connely throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Connely misses with an uppercut.
Connely pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Connely looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Bundy misses with a low kick.
Bundy ducks under a wild hook from Connely.
Connely lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Bundy fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Connely is out of range.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Connely moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Connely throws out a powerful jab.
Bundy tries to close the distance and clinch but Connely swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
A lazy left from Connely finds it's target.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Connely, right into the meat.

Oh, that's a big right hand from Connely and Bundy goes tumbling to the canvas! Connely follows him to the ground and looks to finish from half guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Connely wants to free his trapped foot but Bundy is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Connely is taking a breather. Bundy says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Connely is looking to advance position but Bundy won't allow it.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Connely perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Bundy is trying to stand back up but Connely is controlling him
Connely not doing much here.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Connely wants to take a breather but Bundy is having none of it.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Chris Connely.
Connely loads up on a big right hand but Bundy slips the punch.
Connely misses with a low kick.
Connely connects with a right hand. Bundy shakes it off.
Connely has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Connely pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
A combination from Connely does no damage.
Bundy slips under a jab.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Bundy takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Bundy tries for a takedown but Connely circles away easily
and Connely counters with a nice uppercut.
Connely connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Connely connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.

Connely tries to keep at a distance but Bundy has taken the fight into the clinch.
A shot in the inside from Connely.
Connely lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Bundy backwards.
Connely makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.

Connely's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Bundy doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Connely counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Connely throws the left hand but Bundy avoids the punch easily.
Bundy shoots and misses
and Connely counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Al Bundy. That's going to take a lot out of him.
A head kick misses from Connely.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Chris Connely showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The cut man is working on Al Bundy's cut.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!


Connely lands with an uppercut that bounces Bundy off the cage and back into rage.
Connely connects with a body shot.
Connely lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Bundy ducks under a wild hook from Connely.
A big left from Connely misses.
Connely misses with a straight right.
Bundy clinches but Connely breaks the clinch
enabling Connely to counter with a crisp jab.
Bundy tries to clinch
and Connely counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Connely takes a swing at Bundy's ribcage but misses.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Bundy showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Connely.
Connely lands a right hook to the body.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Bundy on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Connely. Connely obviously looking to wear him down.

Connely lands with a cross.
Connely lands a nice leg kick that just misses Bundy's sensitive parts.
Connely tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Bundy closes the distance looking to clinch
and Connely connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Connely throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Connely scores with a hook to the body. Bundy takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Connely bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Connely fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Bundy to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Bundy looks to clinch but Connely throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Bundy taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:48 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Chris Connely!
