PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rellik X (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniel Amrus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think X might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to I Gotta Feeling. Amrus has chosen 50 Cent & Eminem - You Don't Know as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Rellik X!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Daniel Amrus!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, William Peck and Steve Smith.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Amrus bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
X stops Amrus from passing to mount.
X struggling a bit here.
X wants to get back to his feet.
X wants to control but Amrus postures up.
X is looking for a sweep.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Amrus throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around X's waist but X gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Amrus off to one side.
X cracks Amrus with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Amrus shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says X as he avoids it easily.
Amrus tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
X is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Amrus.
Amrus uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from X.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Amrus moves in looking to clinch but X pushes him off.
Amrus shoots in for a takedown but X shows good takedown defense.
Rellik X has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Daniel Amrus.
Amrus tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but X paws at him with a jab and circles away.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Amrus shoots in but no luck this time.
X throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Amrus stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Amrus looks gassed!

X moves into range and clinches up with Amrus.
X is working for takedown but Amrus is calmly controlling the position for now.

X breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
X waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Amrus.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts X, as that shot connected.
Amrus drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

It looks like Daniel Amrus has been cut.
Amrus closes this distance looking for a takedown but X circles away.
Jab, jab by X - just one landing.
This has been an exciting period of action!

X has closed the distance and engaged Amrus in a clinch.

X breaks the clinch.

Amrus tries to keep at a distance but X has taken the fight into the clinch.
X is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Amrus gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

X breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
X lands a nice shot to the body.
No luck for Amrus with that takedown attempt.
X scores with a three punch combo!
Amrus on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by X. X obviously looking to wear him down.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
X jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Amrus gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Amrus staying out of range there.
Amrus closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

X clinches up with Amrus and pushes him back against the cage.

X breaks the clinch.
Rellik X is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
X getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Amrus tries to clinch up but X circles away and keeps his distance.
Amrus looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? X is fending him off so far but Amrus persists. Nope, X circles away and we're back to standing.
Amrus takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Amrus is rocked!
Amrus moves out of range of the strikes.
Amrus is still on wobbly legs! Can X finish him?
X lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
X is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Amrus.
Amrus seems to have recovered his senses.
X lands a really nice looking cross but Amrus seems unphased.
X throws a hook to the side of Amrus's head but Amrus sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
X scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Amrus doesn't seem bothered though.
X tests Amrus's chin there with a solid looking shot.
X drops Amrus with a big left hand! Amrus is injured, injured bad! X jumps in and finished him with strikes! The fight is over!
