The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Patterson blocks a jab.
Oliveira shoots for a double leg takedown but Patterson sprawls well. He's pushed Oliveira's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Patterson takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

It looks like Westfield Patterson has been cut.
Patterson lands a head kick. Oliveira smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Patterson moves in looking to clinch but Oliveira pushes him off.
Patterson tries to clinch but Oliveira moves out of range.

Patterson drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Oliveira is trying to buck Patterson off.

Patterson tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Patterson has hold of Oliveira's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Oliveira seems comfortable defending it but Patterson has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Oliveira is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Oliveira is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Patterson couldn't care less - he's delighted!
