Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dirk Pitt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Davison (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pitt kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Dancing in the Dark. Davison is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Indestructible. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pitt stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Davison.
A punch lands to the side of Pitt 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Davison has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Pitt finds it's way round the side to connect with Davison's head.
Pitt misses with a double jab.
Pitt tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Davison was well out of range. Poor timing from Pitt.

Davison looks to land a strike but Pitt avoids it nicely and regains full guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Pitt is looking to stand up but Davison won't let him.

Pitt wants to get up but he can't break Davison's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Davison buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Pitt takes a swing at Davison's ribcage but misses.
Pitt drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Pitt misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Davison is looking to slow Pitt down with leg kicks.

Pitt takes a shot to the body in his stride.

and Davison makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Pitt has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Pitt there as he acknowledges the shot.

It looks like Dirk Pitt has been cut.
Dirk Pitt is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Davison thuds his right hand into Pitt's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Horrible takedown by Davison or perhaps it was just good defense by Pitt which made him look bad.
Davison swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Pitt.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Davison lands a really nice looking cross but Pitt seems unphased.

Davison smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Pitt misses with a jab to the body
and Davison counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Davison is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Pitt looks to score with a jab to the body but Davison is just out of range.
Davison tests Pitt's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Pitt throws a jab but it's blocked by Davison.
Davison turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Davison. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

Pitt is in a horrible position here. Davison smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Oooooh, big shot lands for Davison! Pitt is hurt baaadly! Davison is firing away with more strikes - Pitt is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!
