The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones misses with a wild combination.
Mercury Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A cross from Jones lands.
Topper is trying hard to land a takedown here. Jones sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Jones tries to bum rush Topper with a series of wild strikes but Topper uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Jones looks to score with a jab to the body but Topper is just out of range.
Topper doesn't manage to clinch there - Jones circles away.
Jones takes a swing at Topper's ribcage but misses.
Topper walks into a stiff left hand from Jones.

Topper is rocked!
Topper closes the distance and clinches up with Jones, looking for a takedown. Topper pushes Jones against the cage but Jones circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Topper tries to score a power double leg takedown but Jones sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Topper somewhat.
Mercury Jones has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Vince Topper.
Jones throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Topper keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Jones drops Topper with a big left hand! Topper is injured, injured bad! Jones jumps in and finished him with strikes! The fight is over!
