A big right from Day misses.
Gomez takes a swing at Day's ribcage but misses.
Gomez avoids a punch combination nicely.
Day scores with a jab to the head.
Day throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Day will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Garrett Day seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Day tries to bum rush Gomez with a series of wild strikes but Gomez uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Day missing with a left hand there. Gomez was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Day lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

Day has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Day there as he acknowledges the shot.
Day throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Gomez.

Day looks to score with a jab to the body but Gomez is just out of range.
