I think Heino might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Caesars - Jerk It Out. Pekka Heino has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

With a record of 11 - 12 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Taylor Sphinx!
The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Valeri Chadov and Konstantin Menshow.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sphinx throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Heino stuffs the takedown.
Sphinx slips a jab from Heino.

Sphinx shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Sphinx showed some decent athleticism there.
Heino wants to control but Sphinx is keeping busy.
Sphinx is controlling the pace.

Heino looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Sphinx is keen to just control but Heino is a slippery customer.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Heino throws a low kick, looking for Sphinx's leg but Sphinx calmly moves out of range.
Heino lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.


It looks like Taylor Sphinx has been cut.

Heino instigates a clinch.

Heino lands an elbow just above Sphinx 's eye.
Heino lands an elbow inside.
Sphinx looks gassed!

Heino has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Sphinx uses from the top position.

Heino is looking for a triangle but Sphinx pushes his legs off easily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Heino has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Sphinx can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Heino had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Sphinx defends it easily.

Heino pushes a forearm under Sphinx's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Sphinx is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
