Makunoshi takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Rodriguez scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Makunoshi is looking to clinch but Rodriguez is avoiding it.
Rodriguez moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Rodriguez works Makunoshi's body with a nice hook.

Rodriguez slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Makunoshi is rocked!
Rodriguez lands a really nice looking cross but Makunoshi seems unphased.
Makunoshi is still on wobbly legs! Can Rodriguez finish him?

Rodriguez drops Makunoshi with a left right combo! Rodriguez follows him down to the ground into side control.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Rodriguez lands a strong strike to the head of Makunoshi. That's dazed him! Rodriguez looking to finish here. Makunoshi is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Rodriguez lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!
