Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between El Guapo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Will Messinger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Will Messinger enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Messinger bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Guapo circles away from the clinch attempt.
Messinger moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Guapo throws a leg kick but Messinger sees it coming and moves out of range.
Guapo throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Messinger ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Messinger looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Guapo is fending him off so far but Messinger persists. Nope, Guapo circles away and we're back to standing.
Messinger takes a jab right on the kisser.

Guapo gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Guapo is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Messinger is controlling him.
Messinger is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Messinger wants to control from the top but Guapo keeps moving.

Messinger is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Messinger in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Messinger moves into range and clinches up with Guapo.
Guapo is pressed up against the cage. Messinger has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Guapo down to the mat. Guapo avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Guapo pushes Messinger off and gets back to his feet.

Guapo throws a head kick but Messinger moves out of range.
Guapo fails with the takedown.
Guapo throws a hook but Messinger blocks it.
Messinger shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
El Guapo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Will Messinger.

Messinger closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Guapo tries to escape but Messinger is in control.
Messinger has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Messinger working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Guapo is not content to let Messinger control the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Messinger misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Messinger tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Messinger has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Guapo throws Messinger to one side and escapes!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Guapo feints and as Messinger raises his hands in defense, Guapo changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Guapo would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Messinger has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Guapo doesn't defend quickly enough and Messinger has managed to lock this one up! Can Guapo escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Messinger on a fantastic submission victory.
