Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jon Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Earl Hickey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hickey is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: I Get Mad. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hickey thuds his right hand into Jones's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Hickey stalks Jones and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Jones's face. Jones staggers backwards, shaken.

and Hickey counters with a nice double leg into side control. Jones won't be happy with that.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Hickey rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Jones moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Hickey shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Jones's guard.

Jones stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hickey swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Hickey lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Jones circles away quickly and effectively.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Jones moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

Jones has taken the fight to the clinch.

Jones pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Hickey lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.

Jones closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the ropes.
Hickey wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Hickey is looking for a sweep.
