Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dominque Destroyer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vedran Halamic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dominque Destroyer had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 206.2lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Dominque Destroyer could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Vedran Halamic's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Destroyer closes this distance looking for a takedown but Halamic circles away.

Halamic closes the distance and clinches.

Destroyer is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Halamic is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Destroyer is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Halamic can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Halamic's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Destroyer with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Halamic really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Destroyer. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Destroyer goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Halamic turns into him and now he's in Destroyer's guard.

This has been an exciting period of action!

Destroyer is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Halamic is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Halamic flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Destroyer anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Halamic and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Destroyer slips an arm under Halamic chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Destroyer has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Destroyer is squeezing on Halamic like an anaconda would it's prey. Halamic fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
