Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Bill Held (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Loki Andersen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Held's entrance music is pantera - floods. A fine choice. Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Loki Andersen enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Bill Held!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Loki Andersen!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Arvi Lind and Matti Vanhoillinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Andersen is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Andersen tries to clinch up.
Held avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Andersen misses with a double jab.

Held closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Andersen did well to prevent Held getting side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Andersen pushes Held off and gets back to his feet.
Held throws a quick inside leg kick.

Held is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Andersen's half guard.
Held thows a huge punch but Andersen dodges it nicely.
Held wants to stand but Andersen has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.

Held decides to return to a standing position.

Andersen tries to score a body lock takedown but Held shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Held blocks the elbow strike.
Held is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Andersen is defending well for now.

Andersen pulls Held into guard.
Held pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Andersen is keeping the position for now.

Andersen is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Held is aware though and is defending well.
Andersen wants to get back to his feet but Held is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Andersen tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Held throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Andersen works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Held postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Held connects with a right hand. Andersen shakes it off.
Andersen is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Held showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Andersen.
Andersen tries to clinch up but Held circles away and keeps his distance.
Held connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

Held putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Andersen in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body.

and Held decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Andersen's guard.

Held is looking to work some ground and pound but Andersen has wrist control.

Held might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Held's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Held trying to control the position from guard on top but Andersen is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Held decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Held accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Held thows a big elbow that misses.
Held is looking to work some ground and pound but Andersen has wrist control.
Andersen working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Held.
Andersen looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Andersen is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Held drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Andersen dives on top into guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Held stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Andersen swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Held has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Andersen is proving hard to escape from.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Andersen throws a left and a right that both miss
and Held counters with a series of strikes. Andersen will be more careful next time no doubt.

Held will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Andersen closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Held to the mat! Held manages to get full guard.
Held wants to stand but Andersen is controlling the position.

Andersen has gone for a leg lock! Held slips out almost immediately though and dives into Andersen's guard.

Held will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Andersen up against the cage.

Held is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Andersen defends well.

Loki Andersen comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Held has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
