The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Grant misses the jab.
Grant steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Laurentian.
Grant tries to clinch up.
Laurentian misses with a straight right.
Laurentian missing with a left hand there. Grant was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Laurentian lands an overhand right.

It looks like Gregory Grant has been cut.
Laurentian swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Laurentian connects with a nice looking jab.
Laurentian takes a swing at Grant's ribcage but misses.
Laurentian scores with a nice strike.
Laurentian lands a jab to the nose.
Grant misses with a few strikes there.

Grant takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

Laurentian lands a really nice looking cross but Grant seems unphased.

Laurentian uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Grant.

Grant takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
The fight stays on the outside here - Laurentian looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Laurentian defending well as Grant loads up on a big left hand.

A left lands for Laurentian.
Laurentian swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Laurentian is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Grant throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Laurentian is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Grant.
Grant fails with an attempt to clinch.

Jab, jab by Laurentian - just one landing.
Grant is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

The cut above Gregory Grant's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Laurentian, as that shot connected.

Grant is rocked!
Laurentian keeps the fight on the outside.
Laurentian tries to close the distance and clinch but Grant swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Laurentian fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Grant is out of range.
Laurentian pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Grant falls off balance throwing a combination
and Laurentian counters with a lovely shot to the body.

Grant throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Laurentian works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

Gregory Grant's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

and Laurentian cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Grant is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Laurentian bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Grant's head backwards.

and Laurentian counters with a stiff right hand.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Gregory Grant's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
