The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vargtass tries to close the distance and clinch up but Nogueira swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Nogueira shoots in and bounces Vargtass off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Nogueira drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Nogueira jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Vargtass holds on and takes a little breather.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Vargtass throws a nasty head kick that just misses. He throws another kick to the head of his opponent and almost takes it off! Nogueira crumples to the floor and the fight is over!
