PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Bailey Harris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Horus Ra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Horus Ra was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Horus Ra!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Paul Tew and Daniel Bishop.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Harris wants to clinch.
A left and a right from Ra both land. Nice combination.

It looks like Bailey Harris has been cut.

Harris pushes Ra up against the cage in a clinch.
Harris tries to land knees in the clinch but Ra avoids the damage to the body.
Harris tries a knee to the head but Ra blocks it.
Ra has had enough of the clinch but Harris keeps him there for the moment.
Harris missing with knees to the body.
Ra is trying to break the clinch but Harris is controlling him.
Harris tries a body shot but Ra blocks it.
Harris misses with a hook to the ribs.
Harris tries to land a knee to the head but misses.

Ra takes a knee right on the jaw!

It looks like Horus Ra has been cut.

Harris misses with a shot to the kidneys.

Ra breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Harris shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Ra defends it nicely.
Harris is looking to clinch but Ra is avoiding it.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Ra on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Harris. Harris obviously looking to wear him down.
Ra tries to clinch up but Harris circles away and keeps his distance.
Harris misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Ra digs a good hook to Harris's body.
Ra fails in his attempt to clinch.
Ra defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Harris.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bailey Harris. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Ra throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Harris.
Ra stalks Harris and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Harris's face. Harris staggers backwards, shaken.
Ra scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Horus Ra is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Harris is breathing heavily.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Danga de danga de dang - Ra scores with a four punch combination!
Ra misses with the combination.
A combination from Ra does no damage.

Harris changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Ra looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Harris misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Harris is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Ra is trying to escape and Harris transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Ra is forced to tap! Nice work there by Harris! Very nice indeed!
