Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Duncan Harty (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Samoa Joe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Duncan Harty!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Samoa Joe!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Elvis Blanc and Trevor Gratis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Joe avoids a punch combination nicely.
Joe looks for a takedown but Harty sprawls well.
Joe tries for a takedown but Harty sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Joe tries to keep at a distance but Harty has taken the fight into the clinch.

Harty decides to pull guard.
Joe slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Joe trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Joe is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Harty trying to control the position here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Harty preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Joe wanted to stand there but Harty had control of the position.

Harty is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Joe trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Harty tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Harty shoots in for a double leg but Joe sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Harty tries to bum rush Joe with a series of wild strikes but Joe uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Joe changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Harty looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Joe is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Harty's shoulder. That is not cool.
You can see the frustration on Harty's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Harty is pushing Joe's head away, looking to escape. Joe manages to hold on to the position though.

Joe is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Harty has escaped the position, nice work there.
Joe looks gassed!

Joe in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Harty is tapping! That's the end of the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Samoa Joe!
