Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between DINO HORVAT (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ferguingo Sergio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sergio shoots in but HORVAT avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Sergio tries for a takedown but HORVAT sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Sergio gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows HORVAT to score an easy takedown into full guard.

HORVAT trying to control but Sergio is working from the bottom.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as HORVAT accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

HORVAT drops back looking for a leg! Sergio is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Sergio manages to kick HORVAT off! HORVAT jumps back into Sergio's guard.
Sergio is trying to control the position from the bottom.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
HORVAT postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

HORVAT drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and HORVAT jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
HORVAT wants to control from the top but Sergio keeps moving.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
HORVAT gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Sergio counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
HORVAT tries to get to full guard but Sergio has control of the leg.
Sergio really doesn't want to stay on the ground with HORVAT. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
HORVAT works his way to full guard. Good work.

HORVAT manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Sergio is working to get back to half guard.
HORVAT throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Sergio because HORVAT loaded up on that one.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that DINO HORVAT will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

HORVAT closes the distance looking to clinch

and Sergio counters with a shoot takedown. HORVAT fights it but they end up in guard.
Sergio wanted to stand there but HORVAT had control of the position.
HORVAT is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
HORVAT will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Sergio won't allow HORVAT to get back to his feet.

Sergio gets to his feet - HORVAT follows without any prompting.

HORVAT shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Sergio is refusing to be controlled, as HORVAT sits in half guard.

Sergio moves into full guard.
HORVAT would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

HORVAT missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
HORVAT lands a couple of digs.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
HORVAT controls from within his opponent's guard.
HORVAT wants to stand but Sergio has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Ferguingo Sergio showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

HORVAT doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Sergio counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
HORVAT wants to sweep here but Sergio controlling him for the moment.
Sergio would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Sergio stands up out of HORVAT's guard for a moment - HORVAT manages to land a nice upkick.

HORVAT tries to land a sweep but no joy.
HORVAT looking to control.
HORVAT trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
HORVAT throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Ferguingo Sergio has got the better of the ground game so far.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Sergio fails with the takedown
and HORVAT counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

It looks like Ferguingo Sergio has been cut.

HORVAT shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Sergio as he avoids it easily.
HORVAT throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Sergio's waist but Sergio gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing HORVAT off to one side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for DINO HORVAT. That's going to take a lot out of him.
HORVAT looks to land a combination. Sergio sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

HORVAT throws some wild stikes that Sergio manages to avoid easily.
Sergio is wriggling around trying to escape.
Sergio is bucking up trying to escape but HORVAT cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
HORVAT cracks Sergio with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
HORVAT with shots to the head and body - Sergio looks very uncomfortable down there.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

HORVAT is working for a guillotine from mount but Sergio frees his head quite easily.

HORVAT has control of Sergio's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Sergio regains control of the situation pretty easily.

And that's the end of the fight!
DINO HORVAT showed his dominance in that final round.
Well HORVAT has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
