The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Mustard, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Mustard looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Mustard displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Thompson throws out the jab.
Thompson looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Thompson closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Thompson lands in his opponent's guard.
Thompson connects with a couple of short punches.
Thompson trying to control the position from guard on top but Mustard is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Thompson prevents Mustard from getting back to his feet.
Thompson postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Mustard wants to stand and escape but Thompson is having none of it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Thompson advances to mount.

Thompson is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Mustard is surviving well by controlling Thompson's body position as best he can.
Thompson moves to take his opponent's back.
