Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jack Flash (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Billy Beatdown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jack Flash has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jack Flash!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Billy Beatdown!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Robert Douchet and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Flash avoids the head kick by Beatdown.

Beatdown darts in and clinches Flash up against the cage.
Flash trying to control the position but instead, Beatdown has worked for underhooks and has pushed Flash into the cage.

Flash tightens his grip and picks Beatdown up, before dumping him to the ground. Beatdown manages to land in guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Flash controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Flash preventing the sweep.
Flash won't allow Beatdown to get back to his feet.
Flash postures up.

Beatdown tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Flash is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.

Beatdown tries to roll over but Flash keeps him under control.

Beatdown has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Flash is working away from the top position though.

Flash looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Beatdown wants to control but Flash is keeping busy.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Flash is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Beatdown is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Flash blocks a head kick by Beatdown.

Flash shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Beatdown manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Beatdown is pulling down on Flash's head to control his posture.

Flash trying to move into half guard but instead Beatdown has managed to sweep!
Flash is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Flash is trying to hold Beatdown in close to prevent damage but Beatdown has managed to pass into half guard.
Beatdown is trying to control. Flash wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Beatdown wants to free his trapped foot but Flash is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Beatdown wants to stand up but Flash has a hold of him and won't allow it.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Flash is looking to improve his position.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Flash tries to clinch up

and Beatdown holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Beatdown drags the fight down to the ground.
Beatdown controls Flash momentarily but Flash frees himself.
Flash trying to control but Beatdown is working from the bottom.

Beatdown is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Flash tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jack Flash dominated that round.
That's time! Flash's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Flash shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Beatdown counters with a stiff right hand.

Flash shoots in and bounces Beatdown off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Beatdown wants to sweep but no luck.
Beatdown wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Flash is now in half guard.
Flash moves into side control, avoiding the strikes from Beatdown.
Beatdown is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Flash seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Beatdown does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Flash stalling.
Flash has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Flash thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Flash shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

so Beatdown counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Flash escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Beatdown gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

and Beatdown counters with a series of strikes. Flash will be more careful next time no doubt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jack Flash. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Beatdown is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Flash's half guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Beatdown is trying to control. Flash wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Flash is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Beatdown's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Beatdown's back!

Flash working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet.
Flash tries to get the hooks in deep but Beatdown pushed the leg off.
Beatdown tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!

Billy Beatdown showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!


A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Beatdown.

Flash swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Beatdown is now in Flash's guard. A big mistake from Flash there, giving up the dominant position!

Flash drops back looking for a leg! Beatdown is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Beatdown manages to kick Flash off! Flash jumps back into Beatdown's guard.

Beatdown wants to pass the guard but Flash is keeping the position.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Flash looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Flash has his foot on Beatdown's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Beatdown works his way back into a safe position though.
Beatdown controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Beatdown wants to control from the top but Flash keeps moving.
Flash is trying to control the position but Beatdown postures up.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Jack Flash.
I think Flash has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
