Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jacques Carlo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and jim boyce (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). boyce has chosen three blind mice as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jacques Carlo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Illya Tyunina and Dmitry Maklakov.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
boyce throws a nice inside leg kick.
Carlo looks to land a combination but boyce avoids it well.
jim boyce seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Carlo shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Carlo was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Carlo looking to control but boyce is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Carlo has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of boyce's face.
boyce is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Carlo is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. boyce can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
boyce is wriggling around trying to escape.
boyce tries to hold on but Carlo pushes him away.

Carlo jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… boyce is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by boyce and Carlo has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Carlo misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Carlo throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
boyce regains half guard, as Carlo was trying to land strikes.
Carlo prevents boyce from standing back up.
boyce tries to roll over but Carlo keeps him under control.
Carlo throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Carlo manages to break the clinch.
boyce dodges the punch combination from Carlo.
Carlo throws a leg kick but boyce checks it.
Carlo fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but boyce avoids it really well and circles away.

boyce closes the distance and clinches.
Carlo prevents the takedown attempt.
Carlo blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
boyce presses Carlo against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Carlo.

boyce's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Carlo blocks a leg kick.
Carlo is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Carlo lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

Carlo lands a left and a right that send boyce crashing to the mat, dazed. Carlo thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

boyce lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

Carlo throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
boyce is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Carlo is controlling him.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Carlo throws an uppercut from half a mile away. boyce sees it coming and avoids it easily.
boyce lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by boyce.

Carlo stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Carlo wants it to stay on the feet.

and boyce counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Carlo's guard now.

boyce decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Carlo shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Carlo tries to clinch up but boyce circles away and keeps his distance.

boyce decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Carlo, up you get!

Carlo moves into the clinch.
Carlo tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Carlo.
Carlo lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of boyce backwards.
boyce looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
boyce has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Carlo is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Carlo has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes boyce off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

jim boyce showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Jacques Carlo overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

boyce is keen to just control but Carlo is a slippery customer.

boyce might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Carlo kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Carlo breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from boyce is defended easily by Carlo.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Carlo cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
