Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Flare Caloy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andrew Rock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Flare Caloy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Andrew Rock!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, John Mangel and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Caloy tries to clinch up but Rock circles away and keeps his distance.
Caloy is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Rock's half guard.
Rock is trying to control but can't.
Caloy tries to pass to full mount but Rock defends it.
Rock tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
Rock has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Caloy is working away from the top position though.
Caloy prevents Rock from improving his position.
Caloy looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Rock is concentrating on defense, preventing Caloy from advancing position.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Caloy is looking to take a break and control but Rock is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Rock tries to clinch but Caloy moves out of range.
Caloy gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Rock stalling the fight.
Rock jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Caloy walks away with a smile on his face. Rock gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Caloy tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Rock counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Caloy's guard now.
Rock stopping the sweep attempt from Caloy.
Caloy looking to control.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Caloy keeping moving, preventing Rock from controlling successfully.
Rock is looking to stand up but Caloy won't let him.
Rock drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Caloy dives on top into guard.
Caloy trying to control but Rock is working from the bottom.
Caloy decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Rock, up you get!
Caloy lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Rock circles away quickly and effectively.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Caloy shoots and misses
and Rock holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Caloy is working for takedown but Rock is calmly controlling the position for now.
Caloy wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Caloy tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Rock smiles and moves away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Flare Caloy. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Caloy is breathing heavily.
Caloy fails with the takedown
and Rock counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Rock fails with the takedown
and Caloy counters with a nice double leg into side control. Rock won't be happy with that.
Rock is trying to get back to half guard.
Rock is pushing Caloy's head away, looking to escape. Caloy manages to hold on to the position though.
Caloy has an Americana. Rock didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Caloy is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Caloy hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Flare Caloy!
