Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Michael Tolomia!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Shinola.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
A short uppercut from Shinola.
Tolomia misses with a knee to the head.

Shinola pulls guard successfully.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Shinola on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Shinola tries to get out of the position.
Shinola is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Shinola's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Shinola throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Tolomia was covering up waiting for the punch and Shinola finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Shinola closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Tolomia to the mat! Tolomia manages to get full guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Shinola changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Tolomia tries to avoid it but Shinola manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Tolomia to the ground. Tolomia escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Shinola is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Tolomia's half guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Tolomia regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Shinola.

Shinola shoots for a double leg takedown but Tolomia sprawls well. He's pushed Shinola's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Shinola has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Tolomia is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.

Shinola is nestled in close to Tolomia, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Shinola is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Tolomia is just riding it out for now. Shinola eventually gives up the hold.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

and Tolomia counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

Shinola bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Shinola cracks Tolomia with a big right hand but Tolomia just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Shinola lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Tolomia down.

Shinola connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Tolomia some visible discomfort.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
Shinola is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Tolomia can do to turn this around?

Shinola tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Shinola has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Shinola, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
