The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones shoots in for a takedown but Gorgy shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Maxim Gorgy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jones lands with a right hand.
Gorgy tries to close the distance and clinch but Jones swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Gorgy moves out of range as Jones strikes.
Jones digs a good hook to Gorgy's body.

Jones wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Jones lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Gorgy quite badly. Gorgy pulls Jones in close trying to recover. Jones postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Gorgy on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Gorgy doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
