Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Randy Ripheart (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Robin Knoxx (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Robin Knoxx was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Randy Ripheart!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Robin Knoxx!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Daniel Bishop and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Knoxx misses with a jab, cross combination.
Knoxx looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Ripheart closes the distance and clinches.
Knoxx misses with a punch on the inside.
Good body shot from Ripheart.

Ripheart has clasped his hands together around Knoxx's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.

Ripheart has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Ripheart shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Ripheart wants to finish this one by submission but Knoxx is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Ripheart.
Ripheart lands a big shot there that rocks Knoxx but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Ripheart is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Knoxx has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Knoxx is looking to improve his position but Ripheart isn't that keen on the idea.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Ripheart cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Knoxx flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Poor strikes thrown by Ripheart there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Knoxx regains half guard.

Knoxx is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Ripheart stops Knoxx from getting back to his feet.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Knoxx pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Knoxx misses with a jab, cross combination.
A nice leg kick lands there from Ripheart.

Ripheart forces Knoxx back against the cage and clinches.

Ripheart is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Knoxx can't fight it off and eventually Ripheart manages to take the fight to the floor. Knoxx looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Ripheart closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Knoxx to the mat! Knoxx manages to get full guard.
Ripheart stands up over Knoxx, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Ripheart has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Ripheart gets to his feet. Knoxx looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

The fight moves into the clinch position.
A short body shot lands from Knoxx as the two fighters clinch.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!
Both guys are working to get underhooks.

Ripheart wants the takedown. Knoxx is fighting it off but Ripheart persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Knoxx's guard against the cage.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Ripheart stands and steps away. Knoxx gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Ripheart wants to lay and pray for a moment but Knoxx keeps working.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Knoxx is trying to get back to full guard.
Ripheart thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Knoxx's head.

Ripheart decides to return to a standing position.

Ripheart forces Knoxx back against the cage and clinches.

Ripheart turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Ripheart manages to end up in side control.

Ripheart decides to stand back up. Ripheart steps back and let's Knoxx get back to his feet.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Ripheart avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Knoxx's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Ripheart postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Knoxx looks a forlorn figure.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Ripheart has control of Knoxx's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Knoxx regains control of the situation pretty easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. And we move into the final round!



Ripheart shoots in and bounces Knoxx off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Ripheart decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Knoxx, up you get!

Ripheart feints and as Knoxx raises his hands in defense, Ripheart changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Ripheart wants to control from the top but Knoxx keeps moving.
Ripheart throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Knoxx works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Ripheart is looking to stand up but Knoxx won't let him.

Knoxx is working an open guard so Ripheart takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Ripheart decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

and Ripheart counters with a nice double leg into side control. Knoxx won't be happy with that.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Ripheart looks up at the clock and then as Knoxx takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Ripheart smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Ripheart is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Knoxx is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Ripheart tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Ripheart has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Knoxx is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Robin Knoxx has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Knoxx is trying to control Ripheart's posture but Ripheart avoids it.

Well Ripheart has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
