Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Bill Held (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bryan Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Held comes to the cage accompanied by pantera - floods. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Held drives through with a takedown into guard.
Held trying to stand up but can't free himself from Johnson's guard.
Held stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Johnson swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Held trying to control the position from guard on top but Johnson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Held decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Held will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Held closes the distance and pushes Johnson back into the cage.

Held is trying to force a seperation but Johnson has the dominant position.
Held looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Held decides to pull guard.

Johnson drops back looking for a leg! Held is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Held manages to kick Johnson off! Johnson jumps back into Held's guard.

Held has his foot on Johnson's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Johnson works his way back into a safe position though.
Held wants to sweep but no luck.
Held wants to stand but Johnson is controlling the position.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Johnson's corner is telling him to maintain position.

Held on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Held tries to get out of the position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Held takes a swing at Johnson's ribcage but misses.
Johnson takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.

Held fails with a takedown attempt.

Held rushes Johnson and presses him up against the cage.
Johnson keeps control of Held as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Held wants the takedown. Johnson is fighting it off but Held persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Johnson's guard against the cage.
Johnson can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Held controls the pace.
Held seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Johnson for as long as he can get away with.

Held throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Johnson works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Held slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Held has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Held breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Held fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Johnson sprawls well initially but Held persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Held is looking to advance position but Johnson won't allow it.
Johnson is positioning himself well to prevent Held advancing to mount.

Held passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Johnson!
Held wants to control the pace but Johnson is squirming around nicely.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Johnson is trying desperately to improve position.

Johnson tries to lock up and control but Held gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Held trying to control but he's not successful this time.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Johnson is working an open guard so Held takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Held wants to lay and pray for a moment but Johnson keeps working.

Held is trying to get an arm triangle but Johnson is defending well.

Held wants to take a breather but Johnson manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Held.

Held closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
