Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dave McDonald (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Evangelos Terrofinos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McDonald's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, I Stand Alone. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Terrofinos wants to clinch up but McDonald keeps it at a distance.
McDonald fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Evangelos Terrofinos seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
McDonald fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Terrofinos avoids it really well and circles away.
Terrofinos wants to clinch.
McDonald throws a head kick that Terrofinos semi-blocks.
Terrofinos looks for the body kick but McDonald saw that one coming.
McDonald changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Terrofinos tries to avoid it but McDonald manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Terrofinos to the ground. Terrofinos escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
McDonald shoots for a double leg takedown but Terrofinos sprawls well. He's pushed McDonald's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dave McDonald. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Terrofinos tries to clinch but McDonald is having none of it.
McDonald wants to clinch up but Terrofinos keeps it at a distance.
A thudding body kick lands there by McDonald!
Terrofinos throws a left and a right that both miss

and McDonald counters with a takedown into side control.

McDonald is trying to get an arm triangle but Terrofinos is defending well.

McDonald thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

McDonald has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Terrofinos is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. McDonald yanks on the arm and Terrofinos is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by McDonald.
