The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Steel pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Chung shoots in for a takedown but Steel shows good takedown defense.
Steel misses with a two punch combination.
Steel fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Steel keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Steel throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

Chung drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Chung looking to sit in guard and control but Steel gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Steel wanted to stand there but Chung had control of the position.

Chung wants to sweep but no luck.
Chung looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Steel would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Chung looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Steel passes into half guard.
Chung regains full guard. Nicely done.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Chung is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Steel is trying to stand back up but Chung is controlling him
Steel is breathing heavily.
Chung looks to land a strike but Steel avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
Steel keeping moving, preventing Chung from controlling successfully.
Chung is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Chung wants to control from the top but Steel keeps moving.

Chung decides to stand up.
Chung shoots in and drives through. Steel sprawls well.
Jan Steel has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Wayne Chung.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
