Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ding Aling (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bruce McGoose (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ding Aling!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Bruce McGoose!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Damien Edna and Hugh Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

McGoose closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Aling to the mat! Aling manages to get full guard.

McGoose thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

and McGoose counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

McGoose takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

McGoose closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - McGoose lands in his opponent's guard.

McGoose postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Aling is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of McGoose, into his guard.

Aling drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and McGoose dives on top into guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Aling drops back, looking for a kneebar! McGoose looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. McGoose looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from McGoose!

Aling is staying active underneath McGoose, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Bruce McGoose has got the better of the ground game so far.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with McGoose in particular looking to stall.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bruce McGoose showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

McGoose is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
McGoose is keen to just control but Aling is a slippery customer.

McGoose blocks Aling's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom.
McGoose tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
McGoose trying to control but he's not successful this time.
McGoose sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Despite being in the dominant position, Bruce McGoose just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
McGoose wants to land a leg kick but Aling is out of range.

And that's the end of the fight!
Bruce McGoose comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well McGoose has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
