PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Mustaf Fengap (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adrian Silver (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these fighters had to take extra time to make weight as they missed the initial 135lb limit. Mustaf Fengap came in at 136.8 and Adrian Silver came in at 136.1 but after the extra two hours, both guys managed to get within the one pound allowance. No doubt it will have affected them physically though, so let's see if that has an impact on the fight. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Mustaf Fengap!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Adrian Silver!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silver throws a hook but Fengap avoids it easily.
Silver misses with a double jab.
Silver fails with the takedown.

and Silver counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Fengap is looking for a triangle but Silver pushes his legs off easily.
Silver wants to pass the guard but Fengap is keeping the position.

Fengap escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Silver gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Silver would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Silver is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.

Fengap escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Silver gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Silver has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Silver stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Fengap swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Silver got a little sloppy there for a moment and Fengap has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Silver has managed to get both his arms back between Fengap's legs - danger averted.

Fengap is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Mustaf Fengap.
