The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hernandez tries for a takedown but Houston sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Hernandez feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Hernandez has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Houston is working away from the top position though.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Houston uses the cage to get back to his feet.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Houston fails to land with a series of punches.
Houston takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Hernandez clinches but Houston breaks the clinch
and Houston counters with a three punch combo that has Hernandez backing up. Hernandez nods at Houston to acknowledge the strikes.

Hernandez clinches but Houston breaks the clinch
and Houston makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Houston tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Hernandez shoots in looking for a takedown. Houston tries to sprawl out of it but Hernandez keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Houston manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Hernandez gets caught flat footed, as Houston shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Houston stands up and waves to Hernandez to follow him.
Hank Houston is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Hernandez is looking to clinch but Houston is avoiding it.
Houston takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Houston cracks Hernandez with an uppercut from hell and Hernandez crumples to the canvas, he's out! Oh no, he's recovered and he's grabbed one of Houston's legs and pulled him into guard. The ref thought about stopping it there but he's let it go - good reffing!

Hernandez is rocked!

Houston decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Hernandez is still on wobbly legs! Can Houston finish him?
Hernandez is breathing heavily.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Hernandez doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Houston counters with a huge right that knocks Hernandez out cold! Houston is running around with a crazed look on his face - you can see how much that meant to him!
