PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Argo Lohk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hiroshimo Hiro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hiro has chosen My Hero as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lohk is looking to clinch.

Lohk changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Hiro looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Hiro is trying to control Lohk's posture but Lohk avoids it.

Lohk tries for a kimura but Hiro is defending well.
Hiro stops Lohk from passing to mount.

Lohk looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

Lohk is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Hiro is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Hiro gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Lohk wants to free his trapped foot but Hiro is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Hiro is defending against the submission attempts here by Lohk.

Lohk is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Hiro is controlling Lohk's trapped leg to prevent Lohk from advancing to side control.
Lohk thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Hiro wants to control but Lohk is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Hiro wants to improve his position but Lohk is controlling well.

Lohk is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Hiro defends it well.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Hiro throws a right and a left that Lohk avoids nicely.

Hiro misses the jab.
Hiro throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Hiro throws a jab when Lohk was well out of range.
Lohk walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

Lohk gets in close and instigates a clinch.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Hiro tries to break the clinch but Lohk is controlling the position.
Hiro tries to circle away but Lohk has him pinned against the cage.
Lohk jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Hiro walks away with a smile on his face. Lohk gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Hiroshimo Hiro is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Hiro lands a really nice looking cross but Lohk seems unphased.
Lohk tries to score a power double leg takedown but Hiro sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Lohk somewhat.
Hiro throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Lohk walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

Lohk shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Lohk wants to control from the top but Hiro keeps moving.

Lohk is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Hiro is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Hiro has escaped and now he's on top!

Lohk is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Hiro pulls his head out easily.

Hiro might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Lohk shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Lohk dives in and grabs Hiro's left leg, looking for a takedown. Hiro pushes down on Lohk's head and hops out.

Lohk looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.

Hiroshimo Hiro seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Hiro wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

A punch lands to the side of Lohk 's head but he takes it in his stride.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Hiro, as that shot connected.

Lohk shoots in but Hiro avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Lohk takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

Hiro punishes Lohk's body with a nice straight punch.
Hiro connects with a right hand. Lohk shakes it off.
Lohk throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Lohk throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Hiro's waist but Hiro gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Lohk off to one side.

Lohk has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Lohk there as he acknowledges the shot.

The fighters circle momentarily. Hiro darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Lohk has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

Oh Lohk is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Hiro fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Lohk on the side of the head.
Hiro drops Lohk with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Lohk! Hiro dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
