Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Keon Cash (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gabriel Santos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cash comes into the arena with Unsung blaring out of the sound system. Gabriel Santos has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Keon Cash!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Gabriel Santos!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Alec Ball and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Santos avoids the head kick by Cash.

Santos throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Cash was covering up waiting for the punch and Santos finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Santos throws and elbow that misses. Cash uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Santos's guard. Nice move by Cash!
Santos utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Cash trying to control the position from guard on top but Santos is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Cash would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Santos has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Cash can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Cash's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Cash wants to hold on but Santos pushes him away.
Cash is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.
Cash is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

The referee warns Cash that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Santos is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Cash can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Santos jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Cash is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Cash and Santos has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Santos is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Cash knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Nice takedown defense from Cash. No joy for Santos on that attempt.
Santos shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Cash sprawls well. Cash wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Santos gets slowly back to his feet.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Cash will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Santos doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Santos tries to score a power double leg takedown but Cash sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Santos somewhat.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Santos changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Cash tries to avoid it but Santos manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Cash to the ground. Cash escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Santos shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Cash pinned against the cage. Cash gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Cash lands a head kick. Santos smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
