Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jackson Watts!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jared Kreegans!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Yves DeLean and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kreegans uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Watts.
Kreegans misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Watts throws a half hearted mid kick.
Kreegans avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Watts throws a hook but Kreegans blocks it.
Watts misses with a series of wild punches.

Kreegans scores a takedown into full mount!
Kreegans misses with a head shot.

Kreegans is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Watts has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Watts!

Kreegans has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Watts off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Watts will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Kreegans drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Watts manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Kreegans has Watts in his guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Watts trying to move into half guard but instead Kreegans has managed to sweep!
Kreegans thows a big elbow that misses.
Kreegans stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Watts swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Kreegans postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Watts is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Kreegans, into his guard.
Watts wants to pass the guard but Kreegans is keeping the position.

Watts with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Kreegans trying to control the position.

Kreegans is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Watts is aware though and is defending well.
Watts tries to free his leg and advance position but Kreegans is retaining full guard.
Watts trying to control but Kreegans is working from the bottom.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Watts pushes down on Kreegans's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Kreegans wants to improve his position but Watts is controlling well.
Watts uses his free foot to push down on Kreegans's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Kreegans.
Kreegans is looking to get to half guard.
Watts trying to control but he's not successful this time.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Jared Kreegans will probably get the nod.
That's time! Watts's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Kreegans shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Kreegans wants to work for an arm triangle but Watts is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Kreegans thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Watts misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Watts looks to score with a jab to the body but Kreegans is just out of range.
Jackson Watts is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Kreegans tries to close the distance and clinch but Watts swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Watts misses with a looping left.
Kreegans fails with the takedown.
The fight stays on the outside here - Watts looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Kreegans feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Watts has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Kreegans off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Watts throws a series of punches but Kreegans avoids them all with ease.
Kreegans shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Watts sprawls well. Watts wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Kreegans gets slowly back to his feet.
Jackson Watts has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jared Kreegans.

Watts gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Kreegans drops back, looking for a kneebar! Watts looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Watts looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Watts!
Watts has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Kreegans!

Watts trying to control from half guard but Kreegans is working away.
Kreegans trying to control but Watts postures up.
Watts prevents Kreegans from improving his position.
Kreegans is staying active underneath Watts, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Jared Kreegans showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Kreegans is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

Watts pushes Kreegans off and scrambles back to his feet.
Watts cracks Kreegans with a good jab.
Jackson Watts seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kreegans is trying hard to land a takedown here. Watts sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Kreegans throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Watts's waist but Watts gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Kreegans off to one side.

Kreegans changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Watts looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Kreegans takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Kreegans tries for a kimura but Watts is defending well.
Watts takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Watts is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

Kreegans swings around for an armbar but Watts sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Kreegans's guard.

Kreegans is looking for a triangle here but Watts uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

Watts looks up at the clock and then as Kreegans takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Watts smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Kreegans has a hand on Watts's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Watts takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!

Watts wants to control the pace but Kreegans is squirming around nicely.

I think Kreegans has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
