Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, marjmac macarat!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, MATT SERRA!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Dean Styles and Lou da Vinci.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
SERRA shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says macarat as he avoids it easily.
macarat tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but SERRA paws at him with a jab and circles away.
SERRA shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. macarat defends it nicely.
macarat throws a leg kick which misses SERRA's front leg but catches the back leg as SERRA tries to avoid it.

and SERRA decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in macarat's guard.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

macarat closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

SERRA has taken the fight to the clinch.

SERRA is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

macarat shoots in for a takedown but SERRA shows good takedown defense.

macarat throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. SERRA was covering up waiting for the punch and macarat finishes the takedown easily into guard.

SERRA shoots for a double leg takedown but macarat sprawls well. He's pushed SERRA's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
SERRA changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. macarat tries to avoid it but SERRA manages to keep hold of a leg and drag macarat to the ground. macarat escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

SERRA fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

SERRA stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and SERRA wants it to stay on the feet.

SERRA closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
SERRA wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
macarat is trying to drag SERRA to the mat but SERRA just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

SERRA pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

macarat throws a shot from downtown. SERRA moves away and avoids it.

SERRA feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
SERRA stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. macarat swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
macarat sneaks back into half guard.
SERRA wants to take a breather but macarat is having none of it.
SERRA frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

SERRA is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!
SERRA is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

MATT SERRA comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
