Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kyle Scissors (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roderick Edwards (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Scissors comes into the arena with Paper Cut - Linkin Park blaring out of the sound system. Edwards has chosen Tap Out as his entrance music. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Roderick Edwards was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Scissors fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Scissors doesn't manage to clinch there - Edwards circles away.
Kyle Scissors seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Scissors throws the left hand but Edwards avoids the punch easily.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Scissors lands a jab to the head.
Edwards avoids the head kick by Scissors.
Scissors tries to clinch up but Edwards circles away and keeps his distance.

and Edwards counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Scissors!
Scissors is in a horrible position here. Edwards smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Roderick Edwards has got the better of the ground game so far.

Edwards swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Scissors is now in Edwards's guard. A big mistake from Edwards there, giving up the dominant position!

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Kyle Scissors.
Well Scissors has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
