The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Riley drops his hands momentarily and Jones takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Riley bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Riley wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Riley is looking to wear down Jones with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Jones dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Riley uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Jones has time to react.

Riley thuds his right hand into Jones's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Riley moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Jones.
Jones lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

Jones tries to land a front kick but Riley steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Left hook, right uppercut from Jones.

Jones lands a big head kick that sends Riley tumbling to the mat! Jones takes a step backwards and waves Riley back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Jones is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Riley had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Jones sees an opening and throws a straight punch right through Riley's defenses. It connects perfectly with Riley's jaw and knocks him out cold! Wow - that's a contender for knockout of the year - absolutely brutal!
