The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zaginho misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Zaginho changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Poe Jr looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Poe Jr is looking for a sweep.

Zaginho is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Poe Jr knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Zaginho throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Poe Jr escapes and throws Zaginho's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Poe Jr is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Zaginho to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Zaginho shrugs it off.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Poe Jr cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Zaginho bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Zaginho drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Zaginho as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Poe Jr screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Zaginho! Nice submission victory there!
