Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Eric Castle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and San Vedita (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Castle kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Demon Hunter - Storm The Gates Of Hell. Eric Castle has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Eric Castle!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, San Vedita!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Frank Dennis and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Castle defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Vedita.
A nice combination there by Vedita.

Vedita shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
enabling Castle to counter with a crisp jab.

Vedita throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Castle was covering up waiting for the punch and Vedita finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Vedita wants to control from the top but Castle keeps moving.

Castle is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Castle doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Vedita throws a right and a left that Castle avoids nicely.

and Vedita counters with a nice double leg into guard.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Castle manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Vedita manages to get himself to full guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Vedita shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Castle holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Castle lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
Vedita is breathing heavily.
Vedita is trying to break the clinch but Castle has him pressed against the cage.
Castle changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Vedita fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Castle wants to clinch up but Vedita keeps it at a distance.
Castle looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Castle throws a leg kick but Vedita checks it.
Castle throws a low kick, looking for Vedita's leg but Vedita calmly moves out of range.
Castle misses with a double jab.

Vedita takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

Eric Castle is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Castle tries to close the distance and clinch but Vedita swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Castle tries to bum rush Vedita with a series of wild strikes but Vedita uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Vedita throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Castle.

Castle instigates a clinch.
Castle has Vedita pressed against the cage.
Castle fails to pull the fight into his guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Eric Castle. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Castle has clasped his hands together around Vedita's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.

Vedita sneaks out the side door and pushes Castle away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.

That was a close second round but I would say that Eric Castle will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Castle wants to lay and pray for a moment but Vedita keeps working.

Castle postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Vedita looks a forlorn figure.
Castle has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Vedita is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Castle cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
