The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown by Sims or perhaps it was just good defense by Martin which made him look bad.
Martin throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Sims stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Sims is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Martin swats away the attempt to clinch by Sims.
Sims looks to land a combination but Martin avoids it well.

Martin scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

That was a close second round but I would say that Dean Martin will probably get the nod.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Sims can do anything to dispel that myth.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
